Slicing 101.
Slicing a pear, or any roundish fruit, isn’t always the easiest thing to do. But, thanks to my friend Ruthie (Bohemian Kitchen, shout out!) my fingers are saved.
It seems kind of silly if you do this a lot. But, be nice to us novices.
Take a little slice out of one side first.
Put that side down on your cutting board so you have a flat surface. That way you’re not chasing the fruit all around the cutting board and your slices will be nice and even.
Voila!
